Depending on the day the anime kids zone may include the following activities:

Any ideas parents have for the kids zone are welcome
Only those 13 and up may become full members of DC Anime Club
Parents of the children must stay with them or in the vicinity of their children.
(No Leaving your children to come back and pick them up. If you do that child will be asked to not come back due to the parents neglect. )<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cosplay Parade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pennsylvania Avenue between Third and Sixth Streets NW, Washington, DC<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We DC Anime Club are looking for Cosplayers<\/a> to participate in our Cosplay Parade, which<\/p>\n\n\n\n

will be a part of Fiesta Asia Parade. Cosplayers are welcome to Cosplay any character they<\/p>\n\n\n\n

wish as long as it’s family friendly. We will march in the Fiesta Asia Parade on Pennsylvania Avenue between Third and Sixth Streets NW, Washington, DC. All Cosplayers are to arrive at Archives Navy Memorial Subway Station Green\/Yellow line at 11am and we will proceed to the parade route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE PARADE ITSELF STARTS AT 12PM. THIS GIVES PARTICIPANTS ENOUGH TIME TO ENJOY FIESTA ASIA UNTIL IT IS TIME FOR US TO LINE UP FOR THE PARADE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lolita Picnic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Anime Club Will Host a Lolita Picnic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will meet up in front of the Smithsonian Metro station(Blue line) at the top of the entrance escalators at<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mall Exit and then proceed to the picnic area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who are unfamiliar, Lolita is a fashion subculture in Japan that<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is primarily influenced by Victorian children clothing, as well as<\/p>\n\n\n\n

costumes from the Rococo period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lolita has made this into a unique fashion by adding gothic and original<\/p>\n\n\n\n

design elements to the look. From this, Lolita fashion has evolved into<\/p>\n\n\n\n

several different sub …styles and has created a devoted subculture in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan. The Lolita look consists primarily of a knee- length skirt or dress,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

headdress, blouse, petticoat, knee-high socks or stockings, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rocking horse or high heel\/platform shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendees are encouraged to bring food, since there will be a potluck with the photo shoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOU MUST BE AN ATTENDEE of Risucon to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC anime club will host a toy drive. The toy drive is to help out on the underprivileged kids to have a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

nice holiday season. Help yourself by helping another this year and donating to a worthy cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since dealing with the DC public schools the toys should not be of any gun configuration no toy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

knives etc. Thetoys should be for both boys and girls the maximum is $15 on the toys. If you feel the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

spirit in you youcould do as much as you want and we will accept it. The toys can be dropped off at<\/p>\n\n\n\n

any DC anime clubevent. If you need help delivering toys please let Edward Thomas know or the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Screening of Avengers Doomsday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday December 17, 2026 6pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will be by Nerds for Nerds. Seating will be handled by rsvp via email to <\/p>\n\n\n\n

rsvp@dcanimeclub.org. First come first serve for rsvps. When you send an rsvp PLEASE <\/p>\n\n\n\n

include your REAL first and last name. If you want your friends to attend the screening with you <\/p>\n\n\n\n

   THEY MUST EACH  rsvp themselves and you CAN NOT rsvp for your friends. By rsvp <\/p>\n\n\n\n

attendee’s are Guaranteed seating for this movie along with a wrist band to go in and out of the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

movie theater and  for snacks and bathroom and POSSIBLE free movie poster based on the  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

movie. Attendees who rsvp will be added to a list. You will be asked for photo ID to identify you <\/p>\n\n\n\n

via the list of rsvps.  IF YOU ARE NOT on the list or have our photo ID YOU WILL NOT be <\/p>\n\n\n\n

allowed to watch the movie.   If you are a parent bringing in a child you will be allowed in  but <\/p>\n\n\n\n

you the parent must bring in photo ID but not the child you are bringing in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Doors open at 5:30 pm. Arrive at 5pm. There will be 118 seats available. Once we are full we <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Anime Club will be hosting Blerdcon’s Anime Theater screening 40+ hours worth of Anime non-stop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doors will open at 2:50pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Anime Club has run the screening room since the very first Blerdcon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the screenings we ask that attendees please keep talking to a minimum and that all cell phones be put on vibrate and take phone conversations outside the screening room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please keep the meeting room clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please read guide book or read the poster in front of the screening room if you want to know what is playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will screen Hentai and card people at the door so please photo bring ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Schedule of Anime will be on poster board day of the convention in front or next to the screening room with ratings. Rated G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, 18+. This will especially be in place for the Parents to make sure their kids watch the appropriate anime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Priority of the screening room will be anime that premiered in Japan at the most same day or year of blerdcon and of course what YOU the attendees requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will screen original animation by Black Animators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
